Designing Your Teen’s Room
, 01 26th, 2009When it comes to designing a room for your teen, it’s most important to include them in the process. Teens are known for wanting to branch out and be individuals, so if you’re looking to add new furniture, replace kids bedding with teen bedding, or repaint the walls, be sure to include your teen in all decisions. It’s their room after all, and it’s important that they enjoy it and feel safe. However, you also want your teen to think about their decision, especially if the changes to the room are outlandish or seem to be spur of the moment.
In general, it’s a good idea to wait a week or two to implement the changes your teen proposes unless you can both agree on it, after all, they’ll probably want to change their mind!
