Making a Quality Investment
, 03 19th, 2009
When I was just a young woman, I decided that someday I wanted to have three kids, and my dream came true (though they all ended up as boys!). When I had my first son, Christopher, I bought a nice wood bassinet. It was a little bit expensive, but the quality was excellent. I used the same bassinet for both my other two sons, and right now it’s at my sister’s house waiting for her baby. I think for those larger purchases, you really can’t skimp on quality, after all, I wouldn’t have wanted to buy three baby bassinets!
I think products like strollers, high chairs, cribs, bassinets, and car seats should last a long time, and for a lot of mothers out there who intend to have more than one child, the best idea is to purchase products that will last.
Out of Harm’s Way
, 03 16th, 2009My sister is about to have a baby girl. My family is so excited because this will be the first baby/grandchild. For the past several months my sister has been preparing her house to welcome in the new baby. That means buying baby clothes and furniture.
Modern parents know better than to let their babies sleep in their beds with them. It’s a serious safety hazard to let baby sleep in the same bed with parents because there’s always the possibility that one parent may roll on the baby. This is why my sister and many other parents these days are placing bassinets by their beds for baby to sleep in. Keeping baby in a bassinet by the bed allows mom easy access for late night feedings and keeps the baby out of harm’s way.
Don’t Open Our Hampers Unless You’re Prepared

If you have sons who play sports you probably know just how stinky their clothing can get. My sons have been known to stink up the whole house with their sweat-soaked jerseys and dirty socks. This is a real problem for me because I am very sensitive to bad smells.
I have tried many different techniques to get rid of the smell. Laundry hampers are the only solution that has actually worked. I make sure the boys put all their dirty clothes in the hampers as soon as they get home from practice. The smell is still there, it’s just trapped in the hamper!
