A bassinet is a bed specifically for babies from birth to four (4) months or a maximum weight of fifty (50) pounds.  Also, the bassinet is small enough to provide a cocoon that small babies find comforting.

Although there are many variations, baby bassinets fall generally into two (2) categories; light and portable types sometimes called moses baskets and sturdier but less portable cradles.  In both cases there are designed to allow the resting baby to be carried from place to place.

Decorating a Teen Girl’s Room

Here are a few decorating tips for making a special place for your teenage girl to spend her time relaxing, talking on the phone, listening to music, and even doing homework (okay so maybe that won’t happen).  Wall paper and paint can add a lot of color and character to a room.  Include your teenager by letting her pick the color, or at least be a part of the selection.  You will also want to address her bedding.  If you don’t want to purchase a whole new set, slip covers work great and are cost effective.  But if you can afford new bedding or want to give her a wonderful gift, consider animal print bedding (ie. leopard, zebra, giraffe) to add a unique flair to her room.  You will also want to consider lighting for the room.  For this, wall sconces, or recessed ceiling lights are the most popular, and provide warmth and softness to the room.

Let your teen participate in all the choices you want for her room, if you don’t she might pretend to dislike it even if she doesn’t!
