The story of Moses is told in the book of Exodus, and begins in ancient times when the Egyptians ruled.  The Egyptian King was fearful of the Israelites, and because of this decreed that every newborn Hebrew boy be drowned in the Nile, and all girls be spared.  During this time, a Hebrew woman bore a son, and concealed him for three months.  When she could no longer hide him, she covered a reed basket with tar to make it watertight, placed her baby in it, and laid it at the river’s edge on the Nile.  The Egyptian King’s daughter discovered the basket and found the baby inside, taking him as her own son and naming him Moses.

Over the years, Moses baby basket has been much refined from the original, and is now an appealing item for new mothers.  The modern basket is cushioned and lined with beautiful fabrics, and offers a warm, snug environment for new babies.
