Newborn Light Sleepers

Quite possibly the most renowned light sleepers are newborn babies, liable to wake up at the slightest sound, softest light, or even a gentle touch.  To save parents a lot of headache, it’s important to keep your newborn as comfortable as possible while they’re resting.  They will no doubt wake up at some point, but with proper care, you might be able to get a few more minutes of sleep at night!  To help your newborn sleep for an extended period of time, you might consider a bed canopy to keep out light and filter some of the sound.  You’ll also want to make sure your infant is warm enough, but not too warm, lest it will cause them to wake up unexpectedly.  It’s also important to keep your baby’s crib in a room that is far away from foot traffic if possible.  Remember too, you can always use a baby monitor to keep an ear on them while you’re around the house.

With proper preparation, your baby is much more likely to sleep soundly at night, and you can hopefully sleep a little more soundly yourself!
